TO BE ONE, ASK ONE

CAJUN SHRIMP SKEWERS

3/4 cup vegetable oil                                                        1 medium onion finely chopped

2 tablespoons cajun seasoning                                    6 cloves garlic minced

2 teaspoons ground cummin                                         1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary

1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme                

2 pounds uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined.

CAJUN BUTTER

1 cup butter cubed                                                              1 teaspoon minced fresh basil

1 teaspoon minced fresh tarragon                                  1 teaspoon cajun seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder                                               3 drops hot pepper sauce

In small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients as a marinade . Place the shrimp in a large resealable plastice bag: add half the marinade .  Seal the bag and turn to coat the shrimp.  Refrigerate for 1 - 2 hours.  Cover the remaining marinade and refrigerate also. It is to be used later as a basting

Prepare the Cajun  Butter by place ingredients in a small sauce pan and heat unti butter is melted

Thread the shrimp onto eigh metal or soaked wooden skewers.  Grill uncovered over medium heat for 2 - 4 minutes on each side or until shrimp turn pink, basing once with the reserve marinade.

Serve with Cajun Butter
