BRIEF NOTES FROM NOVEMBER 4th MEETING


Marshall Lodge has raised 11 Master Masons this year. There are two Entered Apprentices awaiting degree work

It was Step Up Night, and next year’s officers got a taste of what it will be like to lead the Lodge next year.

 

A petition was read, the investigation committee gave it’s report and the ballot was spread. Based on the information given, the ballot was rejected.

One brother was presented his membership card.

 

The Secretary cleared his desk.

 

  • œ       Bumper stickers from The Grand Lodge are available in the foyer.  The large ones are $5 and the small ones are $2.
  • œ       Memberships in perpetuity can now be purchases with credit cards with a minimum of $50 per month payment.

 The Treasurer’s report was given.

 The sick report was given.

 The Charter was draped and a moment of silence was held in honor of Brother Peter Vukmirovich was passed away in early October. 

The calendar of events, Masonic birthdays, and physical birthdays were read.

 

The District Masonic Home of Virginia Representative with the aid of  Brother Watkins Fisher held the drawing of  the MHOVA raffle.  The winner is Jeff Wade of Mackey Lodge No. 69.  He has won a membership in perputity in his 25th District Blue Lodge.

 

             

Brother Watkins Fisher presented his Grandson, Franklin Delano Lacy with his Certificate of Prociency from the Grand Lodge of Virginia, along with his Bible. A proud day for Grandpa!

 

It was noted that the new electric scooter was paid for by McBride Signs.  A thank you note will be written.

 

It was noted that Marshall Lodge should consider the purchase of a banner to be displayed at events like the Chili Cookoff at the Sedelia Center.

 

With no further business to be conducted, the Lodge was closed.
